The Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Powder Valley Nature Center will present Butterfly Gardening for Pollinators, a free program Thursday, June 6 from 7-8:30 p.m.

Nature enthusiasts Steve Craig and Amy Short reveal the magic behind creating a successful butterfly garden with their exclusive “get a G.R.I.P.” method. It integrates Goals, Research, Installation, and Patience into a cohesive strategy that will help make a landscape to entice butterflies a reality.
But the showy butterfly is only one part of this pollinator’s life. Craig and Short will guide participants through the process of creating a habitat that will host all four parts of the life cycle of this popular insect for even better results. Guests will also receive a plant to help get them started at home!
