To celebrate the spring season, Washington State Park will host its annual Twilight Trek and Taste 6:30 to 10 p.m., Saturday, April 27.
The event will begin with a lantern-led guided hike by park interpretive staff on the base of the beautiful, natural surface 1000 Steps Trail.
Guests will end the 0.5-mile hike at Shelter #2 in the Big River Day-Use Area with an evening of complimentary wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres. Wine tastings will be provided by local area wineries, including Edg-Clif Vineyards and Bardenheier Wine Cellars. Additional purchases from the local wineries and food purchases are optional.

There are a limited number of spots available for this event and reservations are required to participate. Reservations must be made at the park office by calling 636-586-5768 or in person. A non-refundable reservation fee of $5 per person is due at time of reservation. Reservations will be accepted beginning on Jan. 28, 2019. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
The trail has some moderate difficulty. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight or battery-powered lantern for the trek and dress accordingly for this outdoor experience. All events are weather permitting and subject to change.
