From the press release:
Jens Jensen The Living Green from Chicago filmmaker Carey Lundin has been screened at sold-out venues across the country and abroad. The Missouri Prairie Foundation, in honor of its 50th Anniversary, presents this free screening event in collaboration with the Nine Network and event sponsor Roeslein Alternative Energy. Lundin will be present at the event to answer questions and interact with the screening audience.

Prior to the screening, Roeslein Alternative Energy will present a brief video that illustrates the vision that Mr. Rudi Roeslein developed and is implementing to establish thousands of acres of diverse native prairie plantings in Missouri for bioenergy and simultaneously benefit rural communities, grassland wildlife, water quality, and carbon sequestration.

The legendary landscape designer and public parks advocate Jens Jensen was one of the first in his profession to incorporate native plants in landscape design, and his vision of a modern city was to bring green space to all citizens. Jensen’s vision and life work are reflective of the work of the Missouri Prairie Foundation—to conserve original prairies and to promote native plants and native design through its Grow Native! program.

At the event, the Missouri Prairie Foundation and Roeslein Alternative Energy will have native plant information available for attendees and there will be an opportunity for attendees to interact with native plant advocates and professionals.

The Missouri Prairie Foundation is a 50-year-old membership organization that protects and restores prairie and other native grasslands through acquisition, management, education, and support of prairie research.
