The Missouri Prairie Foundation (MPF) celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year. The organization has established National Prairie Day the first Saturday in June. This year, National Prairie Day is Saturday, June 4, 2016. Find details about the annual Prairie BioBlitz event below.
The observance day is to enhance public awareness of what prairie is, educate about its value, and motivate all who learn about prairie to be inspired to support prairie conservation, restoration, and enjoyment.
MPF will celebrate National Prairie Day by hosting its free, 7th annual Prairie BioBlitz at its Linden’s Prairie in Lawrence Co., MO—open to all—with biologist leaders, a potluck dinner, and tent camping on the prairie. For details on the event CLICK HERE.
