The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) recently released a video of accomplishments and successes from 2015.
More than one million people visited Missouri’s outdoor and nature areas, according to information in the new video.
The sturgeon, a fish nearly extinct in Missouri, was found to be naturally reproducing in the wild near St. Louis, deer and wild turkey harvest numbers were up, and three MDC agents receive the Medal of Valor from Missouri Governor Jay Nixon for involvement in saving stranded motorists from flood waters.
(The video does show a few scenes of hunting and fishing in Missouri. Please be advised in case those type of images might be disturbing to some viewers.)
