Fr. Sullivan has been a member of  WGNSS for 52 years and has been participating in the weekly botany walks for just as long.  He has lead the botany walks for almost 50 years.

Currently the botany group meets on Mondays throughout the year.  They go out in all seasons, no matter the weather.  Field trip locations can be almost anywhere within a 50 mile radius of St. Louis.

One of the groups favorite is Shaw nature Reserve in Gray Summit.  During his long history of studying plants and associated insects, Fr. Sullivan was able to identify a new species of Chrysomelid beetle, Phyllobrotica physostegiae.

Currently, Fr. Sullivan is an Associate Pastor at Incarnate Word Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.
