THE MDC WILL BE AT THE MISSOURI STATE FAIR TO HELP YOU “DISCOVER NATURE”

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) brings nature to the State Fair, August 11 – 21, 2016, held in Sedalia, Mo. Families can “enjoy conservation-related demonstrations at the Department’s outdoor pavilion.”

Peanut the Turtle will be absent this year at the State Fair. He has been retired and is living life at Powder Valley Nature Center in Kirkwood, Mo.

Ameren And Sierra Club Reach $2 Million Settlement

hand-1030565_1920Ameren reaches a settlement agreement with the Sierra Club over numerous “alleged violations” to the environment. The settlement requires Ameren to “establish a $2 million fund for environmentally beneficial projects.”

On the west side of Berry Road in Glendale, residents are anti-environment and not worried about climate change. On the east side of Berry Road in Webster Groves, residents are pro-environment and care about climate change and pollution.

How can this be? What explains these vast differences in people who actually live only a few doors down from each other? It’s mind-boggling.
